We come to our nation’s capital not looking for Democrats or Republicans nor liberal or conservative. Our purpose is not political in any way. We are gathering in our nation’s capital to personally engage the national public square of Capitol Hill and renew our personal and public covenant with God. During our time together in Washington, we will experience a wide array of exciting and empowering activities. At our opening dinner session, each of us will be given time to share with the group our own unique prayerful assessment regarding the state of the nation and of your community. By hearing form each one, we can learn from each other and build a common sense of our unifying purpose to revive the nation.
Our second day, Wednesday, brings us to the halls of Congress. Our first order of business will be the tour of the Capitol Building where we will highlight those important elements enshrined there that testify to the Providence of God as the root of America’s founding and destiny. Our morning schedule will be highlighted by a most significant Capitol Hill forum on the Role of Faith Leaders in the Public Square. Afterwards we will fan out throughout Capitol Hill to afford you the opportunity to engage your home district’s Congressional office. After we complete our Congressional office visitations, we will take an inspiring visit of the Supreme Court.
After dinner. . . we will depart for the Washington Mall for what will probably be the most meaningful and crowning experience of our whole time together. Beginning at the Washington Monument, we will embark on a 1.5 mile Prayer Walk for National Renewal. Along the way, we will be visiting some of the most memorable and significant shrines that embody the very essence of America’s covenant with God, including the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial and the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial.
Through this experience together we will renew “our prophetic zeal” as the conscience of the nation.

A small room block has been reserved, June 10-12, for attendees at the special rate of $224 & tax per night at the Holiday Inn Capitol - 550 C St. SW, Washington, DC 20024 Closest Metro – L-Enfant Plaza (only 4 stops from Reagan Airport on yellow line) This group rate will be available for us until May 12 or until all our rooms are full. All hotel costs and travel arrangement will be your responsibility. The Registration fee for The Capital Leadership Initiative will include two meals, dinner on Tuesday and breakfast on Thursday. Transportation will be provided from the Supreme Court tour to Union Station for dinner and from Union Station to the Memorial Prayer Walk. After the Prayer Walk we will bring you back to your hotel of choice.
